Success Is a State of Mind

During my season in helping high performers get the careers they desire, I have seen many females fulfill in getting their careers unstuck BUT, they have one thing blocking them, their mindset. Many of of the people I have come across has this fear-based mentality that is cluttered with the feeling of negativity, anxious, overwhelmed, scared and doubtful about their ability to get their next level position their dream careers.

You will not get your career unstuck if you are not constantly renewing your mindset to get your career unstuck.  No matter if you go through all the right steps in your job search but don’t fix your mindset, you will not attract the success you desire. Keep reading if you are serious in getting out of your own way in your career.

Here are 3 Things to Remember to Attract the Job You Want:

1) Focus on the Job You Want, Not the Job You Horribly Hate

Some may of you may have heard of the “law of attraction”. It received a lot of publicity with the book and movie, The Secret. The regulation of appeal says that everything coming in your life, you are attracting. You must make it clear in your idea what you choose in order for you to entice what you think about most. Thoughts come to be things. If you focus on what you want, you’ll get greater of it. If you continue to be mindful of what you don’t want, you’ll get more of it.

How does this follow to your job search?  If you focus on the job you don’t like, you will by no means get unstuck. If you focus on how horrible you are at interviews and how unlucky you are, you will never get unstuck.

Instead, center of attention on getting the job you WANT and keep your emotions on a positive vibration to bring it from imagination to reality.

2) Create an Irresistible Vision Journal or Vision Board

Things come to reality on the creativity of your vision board. When you have this passionate vision up front and center, your idea will be more open to opportunities that will assist you get what your heart desires.  Take the time and go to Walmart, Target, or your nearest family store to getting a journal or board to start creating a vision journal or vision board.  Put matters in writing. Write down your dreams on index cards and keep them near your bed. The most successful people write their desires down and reflect on them on the daily.

When you create your vision board, put yourself in the moment of feeling “What would your life be like if you found your dream career or next position?”

3) Be Thankful

When you aren’t grateful, you won’t acquire extra in return. Gratitude is all about giving thanks. Ungratefulness is taking the matters in your life for granted.  You are taking as a substitute of giving if you are ungrateful.

Don’t focus on hating your job. Be grateful for it. I know it’s hard however it is for some use (money to pay your bills, residence over your head, potential to work whilst job looking out or potential to learn). If you are unemployed, be grateful for your unemployment because you can center of attention on job looking full time!

If you’re grateful for the job you have, even if it is no longer your dream job, things will start to exchange so you experience your job more and opportunities for you will all of sudden appear. This is what took place for me when I was terribly caught in a job, but I was nonetheless grateful for that paycheck, a chance to end up as a HR Consultant at my current company opened and their recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn.  I acquired new skills while on the job and now I absolutely love what I do and help many people to apply the same tools I used to get your career profession which you LOVE and DESIRE!

I still am so happy in my primary role; however, I am SO THANKFUL for a few hours in my day where I help high achievers to get unstuck and get their next high-end dream career. Now, that’s the thing I am surely excited about. And what happened? More coaching and training possibilities persisted to come to me effortlessly.

Another way to exhibit gratitude in your life is to remember your blessings. When you’re grateful for the matters you have, no depend how small they may additionally be, you will see these matters instantly increase. You will be happier when you rely your blessings. The greater gratitude you feel, the happier you will be. Studies show human beings who practice gratitude have nearer relationships, are greater connected to family and friends, and are viewed greater favorably by others.

Most importantly, being thankful for your boss will give you greater patience, understanding, compassion and kindness. You will overlook the things you use to complain about if you are thankful for them. I remember having a tough client who was NOT polite nor professional to me AT ALL, however I was and still am SO THANKFUL that she displayed to me how to take care of difficult clients and circumstances with class and dignity!

This is precisely why I make it a habit in my morning pursuits to write down three things I am grateful for every day. It simply makes me happier and offers me a greater appreciation for the day.
